As far as French films go, and generally horror films, I recommend you watch Martyrs. Fantastic, if you are able to stomach that kind of thing.

Love Mitch Hedberg but who doesn't know he's been dead for a while, right? I think my favourite one liner he made was "I don't own a cell phone or a pager.
