In light of the major hype about Lost coming back in five days, I decided to ask a couple of my friends why they liked (or disliked in a couple cases) Jate and then I thought, well, why not find out what the rest of my flist thinks about the subject

- they met first. if the creators wanted s&k to be together they would have made s&k meet firstly.
- s&k are all about the sexual tension. maybe kate just has an itch. and because jacks to nervous to itch it, she got the rebound guy to do it.
- if kate loved sawyer, damn it. she would have said so. and if your a hardcore skater. dont give me that crap about. BUT SHE KISSED HIM. its easy to kiss anyone. its harder to tell someone you love them
- jack and kate have given themselves time to get to know one and another. before jumping in at the deep end like skate.
the only reason jack and kate have not got together yet is because of some crappy island people
- ie boone dying *i didnt do it for you*
- ie michael *im sorry i kiss you,im not*
so the creators. seriously need to get these pair a clearing or something. wait. They should find the next hatch and be like *I LOVE YOU* claps. yes
ps. the only reason she said she was sorry she made out with jack was because she didnt want jack to be mad with her any longer. YES
mmhmm. if i think of anymore ill post

I think in addition to the bad timing on their parts (they always seem to discuss their relationship when much more important things are going on and they get sidetracked), the writers don't want to bring them together until the end of the show because once they get together, people'll stop watching. Notice how they don't care about throwing Skate together though. :D
If you do think of anymore, I'll be more then happy to hear them.

Personally I dislike and disagree with the "people will stop watching/it'll ruin the show if they get together too early". people don't watch for just "Will Jack and Kate get together?" (although, I do, lmao but I enjoy other things as well). I really doubt the show would go downhill if they put them together like, NOW (yeah,im impatient ;-)) and plus there's sooo much they could explore with them in a relationship (or, lets face it, trying to be in a relationship lol).

Well, what I mean when I say that is, in Gilmore Girls, Luke and Lorelai got together too soon, so when the writers were desperate for new twists, the only thing they had was to make them break up and that just pissed me off. I'd rather watch five seasons of shameless flirting and angst then just two seasons of it and three more of continually breaking up and making up.
