A few days ago I read Ruby by Francesca Lia Block in one sitting. Then I went to bed and dreamed of finding a baby deer with only three legs. I took it in and cared for it, and soon it was strong again. Then the animal control people said I couldn't keep it anymore, and that they would take it away.
