long story short, my dad had his gallbladder removed earlier this year and after biopsying the doctors discovered that it was cancerous, however only the inner two layers had the cancer the outer two were fine. So The Doctors decided to do a second operation to remove the tiny amount of gallbladder that they left behind to insure that there is no chance the cancer can spread.

So Its kinda weird to hear that your dad had cancerous cells, but its weirded still to find out to find out that when you mom had her large intestine removed almost 25 years ago they also found some cancerous cells there as well.

its not really scary because neither one of them has ever needed chemo or anything and both cases the cancer was discovered after the infected organ was removed. So I'm almost more amazed that I had no clue about mom's then the fact that dad has to have the second operation. It makes it feel like cancer is almost routine. I know that it isn't I've lost 2 grandparents to cancer (well I suppose technically only one since my maternal grandpa dies when mom was a baby so I didn't really lose him since I've never seen him) but they both had an ordeal with it both having required medical treatment. but it seems to feel slightly routine with mom and dad since its more of a oh well I guess it was a good thing that the doctors decided to take that part out.

however the original reason I posted this was to explain why I will be dropping off the map (and reappearing on a completely different one) sooner then expected. when I called to get my ticket changed I was offered only 2 dates earlier in July either the 4th or the 6th and considering my original ride to the airport was mom and dad after a weekend in Montreal I had to go with when my friend in Montreal can get me there (so I chose the 6th) so it just over a month I'll be on my way (So Excited so very excited)
