"Pour all of your souls like magma into the caverns"

Prince Caspian wasn't really all that good. I mean, it was better then the first Narnia film, but it didn't follow the book very well. The action scenes were well done. The Susan/Caspian tension was whack too. Ah whatever. I went more because I like being out past midnight anyways. ^^

It was quite hot out again today! What is with this heat? Well I can at least be thankful that it's not a humid heat and for the fact that air conditioning is almost everywhere. But I hate choosing what to wear in this heat. Today I wore the least amount of fabric that I could and still meet dress code. That's just the thing, there's no layering to play with or adding in another piece just for kicks. Everything counts because you want to wear the least you can. Oh, and I need some good summer hats. *puts on mental to-do list*

Driving out this evening, all the hills are turned brown, drying out for summer. Heat plaguing your back, turning everything you sit on into a puddle. In the canyon, you look up to see sand dunes, half expecting the oasis to glimmer green like it did in the winter. But then you look twice and realize it is the sun transforming your pastures into a desert through its lighting and shadows. They tower like some sort of half frozen beach wave and as crazy round as the hills in the backdrop for Toontown in Disneyland. Being shifted from side to side through the turns, you might as well be there. But this is home. If you actually take the time to examine the things you know so well that you pass them off as mundane banalities, they transform into a new scene every instant.

I'm digging the new song by Mariee Sioux. YAY for blogs that post new releases! <3

The weekend was well needed.

I found this site of Bob Dylan chords. Yeahhhhh, I've already played through a whole bunch. And playing "Talking World War III Blues" is a lot of fun. ^^
