Sad/Lazy Day

Nov 30, 2019 23:43

Today Christopher had to leave to head to England, where he’ll start rehearsals for this year’s panto. Last year he did The Wizard of Oz in Bradford in Yorkshire and played Hickory/Scarecrow, with a rousing version of “Proud Mary.” This year he is in the same show in a different town and as the wizard! He spent most of the day washing and packing and smooching with Nessie, and I tried to be helpful by cleaning the kitchen and folding and putting away some laundry, since I know he worries about things like that when he has to be away.

Since I am headed to London on December 5, I won’t get to see this year’s panto, so when I hugged Chris goodbye today, it was my last time to hug him until I’m here again next year. 😭 Brother of my heart, I swear.

Nessie put on a brave face after he left, but I could tell she was sad. We ate Thanksgiving leftovers and cuddled on the sofa and watched The Holiday. ❤️

Tomorrow will be another lazy day; Ness and I are going to pick up groceries at TESCO and binge Most Haunted and drink and do hair/face/boob masks. 🦄

Hope everyone who braved Black Friday and Small Business Saturday survived all right!

XOXO - C
