Con Day One!!!!
So...Today was Day One of con. (Pics and the like will come later.) And Oh the swag! You wouldn't believe how many times I've said swag today. We struggled coming home with it, because there was so much. We also decided to dress tomorrow, since we'll be there all day.
Initially, I was good about spending. Lindz and I decided we'd only spend $100 a day. And for the most part, the amount of free stuff was so plentiful, we didn't have time to want to purchase anything.
Then we hit the Viz counter.
Oh yes...it had manga not do out for months! So, of course...we started there. After that, we wandered around, collecting. There was no order, we migrated.
We got autographs. We got sketches. We stood in a crowd and had ADV stuff chucked at our heads. (I caught a sweatband.) The yaoi booth was surprisingly lacking. A few feet away however...there was a pseudo-hentai booth. I say pseudo, because half was yaoi and the other half "straight". Either way, it was all hardcore.
So, of course, I spent money there too. ;p
Wizard was there. And they had a "Wizard Wheel." You had to pick a category and answer the question correctly. If you did, you could spin the wheel. It had a bunch of different options. "Date a wizard staffer" "Free Comic" etc...
So, I picked Young Avengers.
My question?
Who is Teddy's dad?
I blinked, and was like "psh!" "Captain Marvel."
Then I got to spin the wheel.
I got......KIDNEY PUNCH.
Tatatata!!!
Yes, seriously.
And I got punched. In the kidneys. And got a comic book.
Day one...eventful.
Day two.....Who knows.
