Room 222 - Monday After Classes
Dick had been working on solving the Rubik's Cube he had found in the Preserve for almost sixteen hours and he still hadn't solved it. It had started out as a game, but now solving it was his only goal in life. He had tried solving it inside, outside, laying on his bed, laying on the floor, in the shower, in the girl's bathroom, and in three different common rooms and he still couldn't do it.
"Argh! I hate you!" Dick yelled, throwing the Cube at the wall. By sheer chance the wall shifted the colors of the Cube so that with one turn it would be solved. Dick noticed this and hurried to pick it up off the ground. He made one last turn, the colors aligned and the Cube was solved. Dick grinned. "I solved it! I am all that is man! What the-"
The Rubik's Cube started to make a weird noise and began to shake. Dick, the boy wasn't as dumb as he looked, dropped the Cube immediately. He watched as the Cube split apart and change into something else. One could say it transformed. It took less than a minute to happen but to Dick it seemed like it was in slow motion and with multiple camera angles. The Rubik's Cube had turned into what looked like a robot. A pink robot. Dick boggled at the the tiny robot.
"...so that's what happens when you solve one of those things." he said softly.
