The Preserve - Late Saturday Night
Dick was still feeling a little unsettled after his phone call with Annette's dad. He hadn't expected it to go well but he really hadn't expected that. And for once going to Caritas didn't make him feel any better, even if he did come to the conclusion that Ellen was a MILF. So he decided to walk down to the Preserve for a bit. He had been walking for a good fifteen minutes or so when he heard a high-pitched whistling noise coming from the sky.
He looked up in the direction of the whistling just in time to see a meteor coming towards where he was standing. Dick cursed and jumped out of the way in time to avoid being hit. The impact of the meteor hitting the ground was enough to knock him off his feet and land face first onto the ground. Dick put his hands over his head to avoid being hit by debris.
"This school is trying to kill me." mumbled Dick as he picked himself off the ground. After making sure that he wasn't going to suffer any permanent physical damage he walked over to where the meteor crashed. The ground was smoking slightly but it was cool enough for Dick to get close to inspect the damage. He quickly noticed that it wasn't exactly a meteor that crashed into the ground. He leaned down to pick up the object...
"Hey! A Rubik's Cube!" he said. He began to twist cube around. "These things rock."
And without a thought of why or how a Rubik's Cube fell from space, Dick headed back to his own dorm.
