1) What sort of alarm wakes you up in the morning?
My smartphone beeping sound or... more likely Hana yapping at me to let her out.  I can usually get her to wait 10 or so more minutes until my phone actually tells me it's 7am.

It's been too long since I updated!

Life is really slow at the moment.  There are no interesting shows on NETFLIX.  booooo.  I am so desperate I am watching Call the Midwife.  I just enjoy watching stuff from that time period, very close to Peaky Blinders but the propaganda in this show gets a bit tiring.  A girl that used to teach with us is ( Read more... )

Last night hubby got some steaks from COSTCO and we had a nice dinner with wine as usual. It's been a while since we ate beef so the kids were quite happy.

Last night I scrounged up all the veges in the fridge, canned food etc. to make a dinner worthy of some wine for hubby and me. We ended up with a tuna noodle casserole, chicken ham with lemon herb sauce and some fresh salad with pickles and cheese on the side. One thing about working at home is you get to/have to make lunch a lot. Breakfast is western style and VERY simple in our home because I am basically very lazy. But, lunch time I like to eat a lot because I don't eat much dinner. After a fitful night, which I spent thinking of Supernatural, friends I wished I could write comments for and readings I might do in the future... I finally got some sleep from around 4 to 7am and went for a quick bath before breakfast at 8:00. Breakfast is a quick and simple affair at our home usually. Toast and cocoa for the boys, sweet bread for mom and Audrey and ham toast for dad. On Sundays, though, the boys always ask for pancakes. And if I am not feeling too busy, I will make it for them. ( Read more... )

I confided in stir_of_echoes a while ago, that I am a goal oriented person. One of my characteristics as this type of person is that I like cooking- but it is mostly because I am imagining how much I am going to enjoy eating it when it is done... or in some cases, how much someone else is going to enjoy it.
