Author’s notes: My first attempt at Dollhouse fic. I couldn’t resist after watching this week’s episode. Just a drabble. Testing my writing water before diving in.
Boyd wasn’t happy about being taken away from Echo. Even though it was promotion in every technical sense of the word, it felt like exactly the opposite. What had he done to deserve to be taken away from her side?
How could he protect her now? Even if she could protect herself, he wanted to be by her side, just in case. Even though she was just a doll, she was special.
“Do you trust me?” Her new handler asked.
And when she answered, Boyd’s heart clenched a little more.
It should have been him. Not this Travis person. Him.
