From London With Love: An ISBI - 1.2!
I have another update! Again, it's a small one - it's just easier for me to update in small chunks. Maybe because I don't really have enough time to sit down and write long updates at the minute.
Last time, I introduced founder Milah, and she met several men, some of whom were married, and decided on Tyson Harrison for her co-founder. She also found out she was pregnant!
Anyway. Let's get started.
Well, Tyson can feed himself. This is good news right?
The bad news is that the grilled cheese sandwich is about a week old, as it's a leftover. Luckily in the sims that doesn't mean the quality has diminished!
Tyson's thumbnail was then yellow, which apparently means he's energised. He used that energy on cleaning the bathtub.
I like this guy, he's so helpful!
We hereby interupt everything for another pretty shot of the neighbourhood.
I love the fireflies. And the night sky. And the flowers. And everything. <3
The next day and Tyson is still energised. Which apparently means random bouts of exercise. Usually push-ups.
I'm starting to wonder if there's a specific trait that means he gets energised more often than other sims? I haven't looked at his traits at all.
"I feel bad for you. Exercise for breakfast? No thanks."
Milah doesn't seem very impressed with her boyfriend's constant exercising. But she is grouchy and pregnant, so maybe that's why.
Milah then headed out to try and make three friends for her promotion. Unfortunately, this isn't TS2 where I can just have her hang out with a bunch of random people on the path for a few hours.
Plus Milah kept wanting to pee. Which was kind of inconvenient.
She did make some contacts to invite over in the future, though.
"I was going to offer you the other sandwich, but I ate that too."
"It's okay. I'll just exercise again, that'll work right?"
"GUESS WHO FEELS ENERGISED! Milah? Wake up! Let's go jogging!"
Seriously. All the freakin' time.
"FEEL THE BURN!"
This is the only time I've seen Tyson do sit-ups instead of push-ups. But still.
Also he looks like he's in pain. That said, no pain, no gain. Or something.
"Milah, I'm hungry!"
"The fridge is fully stocked with leftovers specifically for you, Ty."
"Oh yeah."
Seriously. He never eats the fresh food that Milah prepares.
"Grilled cheese!"
"For breakfast?"
"For every meal!"
Tyson would definitely be a grilled cheese sim in TS2, I think. It's like the only thing I ever see him eat!
After Milah left for work - because maternity leave doesn't exist here - Tyson started playing Tetris. And he played it ALL day.
But I play a lot of sims, so I can't really judge him for it, I guess :P
"I'm in labour!"
Milah made some really odd noises during labour, and I was very worried about what my flatmates were hearing in the room next to mine, so I ended up plugging in my headphones for this bit. Just thought you'd enjoy that fun fact!
"I'm still in labour, dammit!"
I didn't realise you actually had to click on the sim and select "Have Baby". Milah was in labour for a lot longer than necessary. Well, at least I know for next time, right?
Ladies and gentlemen, it's a boy!
This is Cohen London. I randomised his name.
I thought you might be able to tell Cohen's genes like you can in TS2 babies, but I established only one fact -
TS4 babies are kinda creepy.
There isn't even a bookshelf in this room. Tyson had to walk PAST the sofa to sit on the bed.
It's good to see sim's logic is still flawed :D
"Naaaw, my baby boy! *kisses*"
"Daaad, you're embarrassing me."
"I literally just made tacos. Why are you eating that week old slop?"
"I don't know. For some reason, I feel sad."
"Slop will make you sad, you know."
And I'll never know what caused his thumbnail to turn blue. It didn't last long, though.
There may be more interactions with infants, but it's still very basic really. Kinda like Sims 1, with the baby in the crib until it grows up. I don't know if I miss toddlers that much, but it does strike me as a little odd that I have to keep Cohen in a crib the whole time.
Cohen also only has three stages at the minute - asleep, happy or sad. Sometimes, he's hard work. Both parents have lost sleep over him - just like a real baby!
Even with the hard work, Milah and Tyson will be adding another baby to their brood - hopefully!
With no lullabies, how am I to know? :)
Tyson is still slightly addicted to exercise. Maybe he should seek professional help.
He's also a good dad, too - Milah doesn't have to do all the work!
Remember, I can't control Tyson whatsoever. So this is always nice to see!
"Guess who's pregnant!"
"Reeeeally?"
"You have so much energy, you can spend it on the kids!"
"Well, I can't complain with that logic."
I hope it's a girl this time, purely so that Milah and Tyson can have one of each then. :)
That night, Cohen grew up. And he looks kinda like Milah. But where did the blonde hair come from?
I think he got the outgoing trait. I think.
