My twin nieces ask me about Buster quite often. I don't know if it's because it effected me emotionally, or if it's the first death they have had to deal with on this level. They have had animals die, but they never seem too attached. It could be that I'm the only one who lets them talk about it, so they choose Buster. I do not know ( Read more... )

My days are getting better.  I still find it hard to believe that Buster is gone.  He was such a big presence in the house, both literally and figuratively.  I keep reliving his final moments.  How heavy his head was and the fact that the same hands I am typing with are the ones that were holding him ( Read more... )

Luciana Pavarotti died yesterday. What a bummer. He was possibly the only opera voice I could say I loved. Mucho sucketh.

Former President Gerald Ford died yesterday. He was 93, though so it's not as if he died in his prime. That's number two. Wonder who the third will be?

James Brown died. That sucks!! He was only 73. Seems like it was pneumonia, but they aren't sure. That totally sucks to die on Christmas.

I totally can't believe that Steve Irwin died! This makes me totally sad. I can't say that I'm surprised... he did a lot of dangerous things. I really figured it would have been a croc that did him in.

I don't think anyone will ever be as crazy about animals as he was.
