I'm often asked what I think of Tennessee. My immediate response is always "It's hot." This typically elicits a laugh or a chuckle, but little commiseration: "It's hot here too! It was in the mid 80's today!"
I've always found talking about the zeroth order aspects of the weather to be a little banal, but this has entered an entirely new mindset. It has been above 90 degrees here every day for the last 25 days, most of those days have been upper 90s. And it's a wet heat, so that tacks on a few degrees, plus some extra goop that sticks to your skin. It's hot!!
