So I failed to get it done by Monday, but I have a really good excuse. Chapter 14 ended up being 13,000 words long. Forty-six pages of bloody text. It set me back quite a bit. But I am on Chapter 18 (the denoument) and then there's just the Epilogue left. I revise my earlier prediction. We won't be done by Monday. But we could very well be ( Read more... )

Last night it was made official: blackletter's letting me have zombies. Three of them. They will appear in later chapters of the novel. It will be all I can do to prevent myself from turning every other line of dialogue into a dead people joke. Writing the conclusion just went from terrifying to fantastic in 2.2 seconds. Zombies make everything better.
