The warehouse was nothing more than.. empty. I sat at my desk, just sitting. This was basically my home since the hotel went down. I sure did miss my nice room, comfortable and private. Stopping at the door, I turned and looked at the phone wondering if I really wanted to pick it up. I didn't really know if I wanted to talk to anyone right now for some reason. What if it was a client? We hadn't had any clients in what seemed like forever. Maybe they didn't like the new "office"? After about four or five rings, I rushed over to the phone and picked it up. I started to say, "This is Angel Investigations how may we help you?" but instead I heard a familiar woman's voice on the other end.

I smiled a little. It was nice to hear from Cordy. "Well, I was never one for change, you know."
She did sound a little irritated as she spoke. Guess I couldn't blame her. I remembered something about a meeting over at Buffy's house, but I just couldn't go. After what happened with Wesley, I didn't feel as if I would be of any help to anyone then.
