Thanks, Dad.

Well, I was going to have a huge ranting post about my father can be a jerk and why the hell can't men communicate and really not just men (because that's not fair) just people in general. But then I was looking at fadedlilac's post, and got to talking about how some of my kids are realizing that they can play with any toy no matter if they're a girl or a boy and my bad mood fizzled a bit.

Anyway. My father is moving in about a week. To North Carolina. I haven't seen him in two weeks. When I did it was when he showed up randomly to look in my garage for a bin of pictures he wanted to scan into his computer. Not to see me. I found him the stuff he wanted and off he went.
today, he showed up randomly to return the stuff. We chatted for five minutes about American Idol. He said some stupid shit I really disagreed with (how the voting age limit should be 15, because kids aren't smart enough to vote...i was speechless, started to argue, but realized that there would be no getting through to him and might as well not start to yell at him.)
Anyways, a hug goodbye, a vague "See you sometime soon!" and off he went.

And this is quite possibly the last time I'll see my father before he moves out of state.
Thanks, Dad.
