Weekend

The Super Bowl didn't even register on my own personal radar this weekend until about halfway through Sunday. We were driving home and the Monkey mentioned that it was on today. I shrugged. When we got home, I puttered around a bit (my house gets SO MESSY on the weekends, I suppose due to everyone being home the majority of the day). I finally tuned in at about the halftime show and had it on while cleaning up aforementioned mess.

I have never been a fan of The Who and can't pick their music out at all. The halftime show therefore did not arise my interest in the least bit.

Most of the commercials that I actually saw didn't arise my interest either. (I suppose most of the good ones were on during the first half.)

The last few minutes of the game were pretty darn exciting though. I wasn't rooting for anyone in particular but the Saints as a sentimental favorite kind of got me in the end.

In other news, our Wii is finally getting used some now that the Mini Monkey has developed enough motor skills to be successful at the Wii Sports games. His favorite is "Boxing Wii" (as he calls it), followed by "Tennis Wii."

However, he only plays golf in order to hit the ball into the water. I can't convince him to aim for the little flag instead. It is WAY MORE FUN to aim for the water.
