Smallville / Absolute Justice
I was quite surprised to come out of the shower last night to see the TV on Smallville because we haven't watched it in several seasons. I think I've seen one episode since Season 5. Anyway, my husband and I both enjoyed it very much and may continue to watch future episodes. My enjoyment I think was partly in listening to the Monkey's commentary on everything as we watched.
The Mini Monkey was excited to see the Green Lantern lantern in the case. He loves the Green Lantern.
What surprised me was how similar to Barbara Gordon Chloe is now. They might as well dye her hair red and have her get adopted by Jim Gordon. Oh and paralyze her legs, I guess. I wanted to write a fanfic about it a few years ago.
I can understand those who are on board with the Chlollie relationship. They appear to have more chemistry with each other than Clark and Chloe do; they feel like brother and sister now. So sad because I used to be so all over the Chlark!
I don't get the Lois hate but she was kept to a minimum this episode. I guess so was Clark. I don't approve of the changes in the genesis of the Clark/Lois relationship at all, and I still don't believe that she belongs in this particular show at this particular time. But I wasn't around to see it develop, so their camaraderie and banter were a bit jarring to me.
