As of July 16th, 2007, I will officially enter the workforce. Yes, after two months of job searching, I finally accepted a position as an Admissions Counselor at Colorado State University! Stay tuned for updates as to what territories I will be assigned to and future reflections from the road.

Today marks the enlightenment of one of my favorite icons in history: the Buddha. This also marks the second year that I have not been able to attend services or observe the occasion in some way, shape or form. The move to Colorado has limited my formal practice of Buddhism. getting a phone call from your best friend. I miss him so much, but hearing his voice tonight made the distance seem bearable. Maybe tonight I'll dream of the day we'll live in the same city again. Hopefully that day comes soon.

Jetlag sucks big time. It's 4:30 am here in Fort Collins and I have been trying desparately to get to sleep for the past four hours. Even went out for a beer with some friends from my graduate cohort, but apparently that wasn't good enough. I'm wondering if alcohol is starting to have an opposite effect on me now.
