LJ needs to update their site to at least try to look like other blog sites.

Full description of the idea
I signed up with LJ shortly after it was created. I quit because of the rude people and lack of ability to make the journal life like. LJ is surgical looking and still hasn't changed. It is blah looking and reminds me of something out of the fifties.
An ordered list of benefits

• LJ bring in some new themes and colors. Let members be more creative. This is still lame and even newbies will find this a dissapointment.

An ordered list of problems/issues involved

• Have someone upgrade LJs home page to something besides that drab blue. I know the blue color is your themed colors but integrate some other colored designs and get away from so much white. My children do better than that in kindergarden. Get more theme options that aren't so bland and give you fewer options to let users to personalize their pages to their individuality.
