A poem about a salmon, because everyone loves salmon

May 02, 2006 10:23

For this poem, everyone in my FHE group was given a word to write a poem about in any format. Some people did riddles and haikus. I wrote this:

I wish I was a salmon
Swimming in the sea
The slimy bottom dwellers
Would all look up to me
I could swim and play all day
Hide and seek in coral
I’d breathe the watery air
And not even need a snorkel
A salmon has a happy life
A salmon always smiles
And when a salmon migrates
They swim for miles and miles
Salmon are family fish
With moms and dads and babies
When salmon get bit by wild dogs
They don’t develop rabies
I wish I was a salmon
Living the salmon life
With never any salmon fights
Or any salmon strife
I wish I was a salmon
Swimming in the sea
The slimy bottom dwellers
Would all look up to me
