God--it's a good thing stupidity isn't catching. Although I fear I may have felt my IQ drop a fraction of a point by something I read today....I should have known better: the source was one of those intellectually numb Snape haters.....but.....but.....
Oh, the stupid: it's so blinding. Apparently, Snape didn't risk much of anything because he had no wife/girlfriend and no babies--and no purpose in his life. The last alone is enough to induce snorts of derision, since well, obviously she missed like most of the HP novels' plots. But that's okay, because some folks can't read particularly well, and that whole thing about defeating Voldemort may have slipped past.......It was subtle.
But, Jesus God Almighty. People who are single and/or have not reproduced--obviously, their lives are disposable, you know. They don't have as much to risk, or to live for; they don't actually count as much as real people, of course.
My eyes are rolling so hard I can barely see to type.
It's good for the rest of us to know, that should we live alone or fail to reproduce, nothing else we do accomplish in life will count for as much as someone else's reproduction....Mother Theresa, Second Class Citizen. If only she'd realized her essential worthlessness as a human being--no lover, no babies, no purpose in life. No admirable, appreciable risks. What a loser. Get a life, Terry--by which, obviously, I mean 'a baby.'
