My heart is shattered right now.
So, my neighbour has a beautiful blue and white pit puppy, he's 2 months old.
Regardless of the age, CRUELTY IS NOT OKAY.
The dog is never on a leash when he's brought outside, but today he was (shock). The dog's owner was dragging this poor dog along, so hard that the dog was crying out in pain. The guy would yank him around, and picked the leash up so far, that the dog was off the ground! CRYING OUT IN PAIN!
Of course, I live in Columbus, Ohio, and the Humane Society is a fucking joke here. They claim to care, but they said they "can't make any guarantees," but it "depends on the agency that goes out there to check on the dog." I say put the dog's owner in jail where he belongs and remove the dog, make a stipulation that this person is to NEVER be allowed around animals again upon release of jail.
But, what do I know? I'm not from here, I'm not living with a beer-riddled brain like most of Columbus is. I didn't go to OSU, I didn't party daddy's money away, I care about the animals and their welfare and well-being. My landlord told me to call the police and the dog warden, which I was routed to the Humane Society, which as I said, is a bloody joke.
I wish there was a way I could have this dog come stay with me, but we're not even supposed to have pit bulls on the property!
