Working in a humane society, you hear and (sadly) see the results of bad pet parenting on a daily basis...this one though....
Someone decided that, in order to get rid of a kitten, to duct tape said kitten to a cinder block and leave it by the side of the highway.
If the people who had to surrender their rats hadn't seen it, poor Ducky would probably still be there...or squished flat. (rats AND Ducky are fine)
People...if you come up to our wee humane society, you will see a sign on the door stating we are FULL and cannot take in ANYTHING. This does NOT mean you can scream that you are 'going to toss the damn thing out the window on I44' While this might galvanize us to do something, right now, the something will be to call the police on your sorry ass.
Speaking of kittens (and puppies) being 'tossed out the window' yep, we've gotten in about five that had that happen to them. Most are fine, a few didn't make it.
Final warning to a few idiots out there. People, it's hot. (six am and I'm sweating) Please to be leaving your dogs and cats AT HOME where they can at least have water, and perhaps shade. Wandering around the city, doing your errands with them in that hot car, not a good thing. Fluffy and Fido can do without the hassle of you trying to get your things done.
