I found out this evening that the drummer for my all-time favorite band, Lit, had passed away last night. Allen Shellenberger was diagnosed with brain tumor in May of last year, and since then has been courageously battling the illness with the support of his loved ones, even continuing to play with his bandmates until the fall of the same year, ( Read more... )

O-Rock, the radio station that plays good music but full of ads, really restored my faith in radio this weekend. They had an all 90s weekend! Almost every time I turned on the radio I was loving every song. It was good cuz it was a lot of great music that you don't get to hear everyday. I am exhausted. I spent the afternooon promoting Band Marino a bit more for thier shows. After I came home Jesse and I went out of town for our pirate gig. It went pretty well, and I think the whole family we were entertaining enjoyed us, despite how out of place we were. I met one of the fiercest pirates I've ever come across, a little girl. The Florida Music Festival was this weekend. Since my goal for this year has been to get more in touch with the Orlando scene, I was quite excited to see the local bands I've been wanting to check out. But I didn't get to do that. It was four hours until the show started, and we were the only ones there. We sat outside the venue, then I took us up to watch the soundcheck from the balcony.
