In other news, "Ow." My foot is elevated over my keyboard tray, resting on a ice pack, and turning black-and-blue in very puzzling places, after I stepped wrong and went down while fencing tonight. Luckily, it is only the foot part of my foot that is in pain, not the ankle. Everyone there was very nice, and I'm sorry to have disrupted everyone's bouting with my stupid accident, and what I'm told were entertaining sounds, but most of all I'm sorry that I hardly got to fence tonight at all because I somehow managed to put all my weight onto a part of the foot not designed to hold any weight. Seriously, "Ow."
Accidents happen. But I'd better put more time outside Thursday nights into footwork drills, anyway. Possibly this activity is for the time I'd previously been using to read more political news than anyone really needs.
