It takes a lot of effort to be a psycho. You have to be intelligent - much more so than the average intelligent being. Something traumatic had to have happened in the past to spark your personality reversal. You tend to have zero empathy/sympathy/sense of humanity. And other things I can't really think of off the top of my head, like having weird fetishes or something. But the average "psycho" as I will use loosely, isn't just a pissed off John Doe who wants retribution. You think that's psycho? You haven't seen psycho.....
Thankfully, I've never witnessed shit like THAT....but I have seen some very intense pre-psychotic behaviour before. It's actually very scary to realize that some people out there are actually serious about raping children/eating babies/mass genocide. That shit's extreme. Even for a joke. Who jokes about stuff like that? It's plain disturbing either way.
I know it's naive to hope that I never come across a person who's into that kind of shit (again). There's a lot of messed up people out there, and as much as I enjoy thrillers, there's obviously a disparity between reality and fiction. In a sick way, I think it's beneficial to have had exposure to people with messed up values because it sort of prepares you for the worser entities in society....in which meeting is inevitable.
