The library should have been closed, but Jonghyun and Taemin found the door unlocked. They walked in, Jonghyun pulling Taemin by his arm, and the human was happy to find it warm inside. He brushed snow off of his coat at the door, and noticed late that Jonghyun had gone stiff.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Someone's here." Jonghyun said, and looked at Taemin. "Did you know about this?"
Taemin shook his head.
"So it's you." a voice said, and Jonghyun and Taemin followed it over to a dimly lit doorway behind the check out desk. Jonghyun squeezed his hand on Taemin's arm and pulled him closer, "Siwon?" he questioned.
Siwon nodded in the doorway, and beckoned. Jonghyun scowled, a bit hesitant, but he walked closer to the desk, pulling Taemin along. "What are you doing here?"
"I imagine the same as you. Waiting for Minho, is that it?"
"How did you know?" Taemin asked, eyes wide.
Siwon glanced at him, back at Jonghyun, and then simply turned - retreating into the room he was in. Jonghyun jerked Taemin along with him as he followed Siwon inside. The room seemed like some kind of small place to stash extra books, nothing in there but two shelves nearly filled with them. That, and Minseok, tied with ropes in a corner, crouching down with a black tie gagging him.
Taemin was stunned at the sight, and he tugged to get his arm away from Jonghyun so he could step closer. "Minseok!" he exclaimed, but Jonghyun just pulled him back away.
Minseok was clearly struggling in his ropes, and only gave Taemin a quick look of concern.
"One of our humans has been following him." Siwon said, "He saw him with Minho here, and we checked into what it was Minho did on the computer, it was.. rather simple. I see you found the hunter we asked you for, Jonghyun, but why is it you didn't return to The Council with him?" His eyes were narrow, suspicious.
Jonghyun glared at him, "I was going to, but he offered to bring me here instead. I figured I'd use him to find Onew and then take him." Jonghyun crossed his arms, "Is there anything wrong with killing two birds with one stone?"
"Only that you're already late getting him to The Council. This doesn't look good for you."
"Let Minseok go." Taemin said, "You don't need him to get to Minho, I'm the only one you need."
"He's right." Siwon said in a slight sigh, and looked to Jonghyun. "Kill him." he nodded towards Minseok.
"No.." Taemin squeaked, and Minseok stiffened, looking horrified at Siwon.
Jonghyun started towards him, and Taemin threw himself against him, holding him in a tight hug. "Don't do it, no, please, no, Minho won't come for just me, you need him.."
Siwon grabbed the back of Taemin's thick coat and pulled him rather easily off of Jonghyun, then pushed him into the wall by one of the book shelves. "We've already killed one of your friends." he announced, and Taemin froze, looking every bit as shocked as he was when Key stabbed him through the stomach.
"I have little reservation about sending you to join him, so unless you'd like that, I suggest you stay out of our way."
"Who.." Taemin asked in a breath, "Who did you..?"
"Hongki, was his name." Siwon said, calming. Tears ran fast down Taemin's cheek, and he shook his head in disbelief, "No.."
"Jonghyun," Siwon said, looking at the shorter vampire. "Continue."
Minseok was shaking as Jonghyun jerked him by his arm to his feet, and though he was gagged, it was easy to tell he said, "Please.."
Jonghyun put a hand on each side of his head, and Minseok started to fight, trying to pull away or push into him, even kicking into Jonghyun's ankles, but Jonghyun gripped into his hair and he was caught. A second later, his neck twisted, and he was dead with a sick cracking noise.
Taemin shrieked, high pitched and squeaking, annoying enough for Siwon to backhand him hard. Taemin fell with the impact into a corner, his scream gone, but he sobbed hard.
"That was the brother of your enemy's bonded," Siwon spoke to Jonghyun, even as he glared down at Taemin, "Are you not happy?"
"Huh," Jonghyun frowned, looking at Siwon. "Yeah, thought you were testing me. Where's the trust?"
"Very far gone, unfortunately." Siwon said, and turned to Jonghyun.
Jonghyun dropped the body and turned to face Siwon as well, blinking up at him. "Yeah, well, he's dead, and.."
Siwon was glaring and drawing that large knife from the hilt in his belt. Jonghyun stepped back over Minseok's body, eyes widening. "Woah, okay, what the fuck? I'm a vampire, okay?"
"So was Key," Siwon said with a sigh, "But it didn't save him."
"What the fuck did you just say?" Jonghyun said, tears springing to his eyes, but the fear on his face turning fast into rage. "What the fuck did you just say!?" he repeated, hands balling into fists.
"Your sire is dead." Siwon told him very simply.
"That's not true." Jonghyun said, "That's a fucking lie."
Siwon merely frowned, moving closer to Jonghyun, but freezing when he heard shifting from Taemin. The human was getting up on his feet, and just starting to run. Siwon scowled, rushing to block him. As he did, holding the human tightly still, Jonghyun ran by, and escaped the room in Taemin's place.
Siwon cursed and threw Taemin across the small room. Taemin fell to the floor by Minseok's bound, lifeless body. Siwon hurried into the doorway, but only to see that Jonghyun was already half to the exit. He scowled, but he'd let him go. Regardless of Heechul's orders, Minho and Onew were more important for now.
