Dear People Who Know Things About Florida, if I go to Florida, where should I go?
Let me explain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up:
My mother and I are going to Florida (Disney) for a wedding in January. Since we are going to be in Florida anyway, we want to make the most of it. We'll have a car, so travel is not really an obstacle. Ideally, we'd like to spend four-ish days someplace, probably.
What we are interested in: the beach, quirky little shops, points of interest.
What we are not interested in: bars, golf, resorts, anything that costs a very lot of money. My mother's one caveat was, "definitely not Fort Lauderdale".
We know basically nothing about Florida, so if you have any recommendations about things to see, places to go, places not to go, I would love to hear them.
