Personally, I loved my little two day vacation in St. Augustine. I could have stayed there for four days seeing all the sights.

Well, poo. I'm not sure what my mom's thing about Fort Lauderdale is, but I suspect it has something to do with the zillion or so Spring Break Vacation flyers that appear in the college hallways mid-winter every year. ;)

I would second the recommendation for St. Augustine. It's pretty close to Orlando, has clean beaches and plenty of historical sites/tours that you'd be able to see.

Naples is a lovely vacation spot. You can take a day trip to Marco Island and the beaches are gorgeous.

Thanks! My boss (who goes to Florida every February to golf) says Naples is glorious, so it is definitely on the list of possibilities.
