The problem with not posting for a long time is that then I have all this build-up of stuff to say, and I try to cram it all into one novel-length post and then decide it's boring anyway and delete it, and come back with bullet points. But not this time! This time I'm starting with bullet points! HaHA!

- Moving! I'm moving on Friday! Today is Wednesday! I am NOT PACKED. Repeat: I am NOT PACKED. I am maybe 15% packed. Videos, DVDs, CDs, and 75% of the books are packed. So basically everything that fits neatly into boxes = packed. Everything else? NOT PACKED. I'm off tomorrow, so *fingers crossed* that I will find my motivation and be a packing fiend, starting when I get home from work tonight.

- Directly related to the NOT PACKED issue, I have been playing Sims 2 like crazy for the past couple of weeks. I've been doing a semi-legacy challenge, and am currently awash in Sim!babies. My generation 3 heir (Bran) kept trying for babies with his wife with no result, so I had him abducted by aliens (I forgot how ugly the alien mpreg kids are) and he had a little green girl. And then just as she was reaching childhood, Bran finally managed to impregnate his wife, and then she had triplets! Two girls and a boy. Thank god for grandparents, of which there are two living in the house. Two elders, two adults, and four kids makes eight. AND THEN, out of nowhere, Bran suddenly popped into maternity clothes again. WHAT?! First of all, WHAT?! He hadn't been anywhere near the telescope, he hadn't been having sex with anyone, and there was nothing in his memories to provide any sort of clue. Second, there were already eight people living in the house, and I don't have any of the larger family hacks, unless it came tacked on to something else. Nevertheless, Bran had a smooth pregnancy and popped out another green baby girl. So now there are NINE people in my little legacy house, oh my god. (I finally figured out that Bran had been using the electro-dance sphere or whatever and had disappeared for a while a day or so before the pregnacy incident, and I thought he'd just achieved nirvana or something, but apparently there was some alien mpreg action going on.) Anyway, clearly if I was smart, I would pack up the laptop and remove my primary source of procrastination, but the power of denial is strong in this one.

- Molly learned a new trick on Monday, which is how to jump from the top of the television up onto the top of the bookcase. She's so pleased with herself and so cute that I don't have the heart to tell her that this new trick will be rendered obsolete at the new place, where the bookcase will be in a while different room than the television. Poor kitty.

- Due to several busy weekends in a row, I have not done laundry for almost three weeks. One one hand, I'm impressed/amused that I have enough underwear to make this possible. (I could go at least another week! Though I would be delving into some unfortunate/uncomfortable bra territory.) On the other hand, I'm really glad I don't have to come up with something appropriate to wear to work tomorrow. Also, I really do not need another thing to do tomorrow.

- I have a lot of opinions about the LJ/fandom fiasco, and I may subject you to them at a later date, but for now I will just say that I'm fairly pissed off about the whole thing, and not so much at LJ. Short version: I'm staying put. I have a GJ account under the same user name, but I don't intend to mirror my LJ or my friends list over there. On a tangential personal note, though, people who are discussing Scribblit and Canadian child pornography laws keep bringing up this court case, in which the accused/defendent/respondent is my high school drama teacher. (The actual court document, which is linked from the article I linked to, contains extremely graphic descriptions of adult men having sex with girls between the ages of 9 and 13 (usually their daughters). Reader beware.) The case itself is not new to me, since it was all over the papers when it happened, but the court document and the graphic content contained in it was something I hadn't seen before (and mostly wish I still hadn't seen). And the continued linkage of it is kind of freaking me out. People are using the case as a debating tool over the merits/problems of having your fanfic servers located in Canada and I get that, and at the same time it's this actual person who I actually know, who taught me for four years in high school. It's weird. Also weird is that I've seen at least three other fandom people pop up and say that he was their drama teacher, which means they went to the same small high school as me, and, judging from their userinfo birthdays, went there at the same time as me. Freaky!

- Seriously, how am I going to be ready to move in less than two days? Why do I have so much friggin' STUFF?!
