Just a little note- Tonight is my last night sleeping in a hotel for at LEAST six weeks.

There is only one more week to be spent in this temperate mountainous area until I will be making my way throughout California, which excites me greatly! I always appreciate a good warm place in December, although I am missing my skates and hockey stick an embarrassing amount!

My muscles cry havoc but fall silent as I ease them into the bubbling pool of hot water. I find the ledge meant for sitting and a jet or two, and position myself in such a way so that the spouts pulse hot water vigorously into my lower back. It's not often that you wake up in one city, perform in a second, and go to sleep in a third in the span of sixteen hours but today is one of those days, and this weekend will be one of those weekends. The sun is setting around 4:30 PM in Northern Canada, the trucks are constantly screaming by on the highway outside our lodge-style hotel, and the traffic lights at the intersection visible from my window change for nobody.
