Well, it's been a while. Thursday night I went out for the first time for real I guess since I've been here. Went out as in a went to Sara's house (a girl on my soccer team) and there was an "impromptu" party of sorts. It was fun. I ended up getting home around 2'30, I guess... which is definitely late for this gramma.
Friday was a breeze... just kind of lazed my way through Western Civ and discussion... and kind of through Mass Media, and afterwards I came home and took a nap. A nap until like 6'30, which was when Tertulia started... So i got ready and then we headed on over... met up with Amanda, Sarah Sterling, and Antoinette... and then Alison showed up too. It was a different kind of tertulia than last year... everyone was sitting at their own tables not really talking to anyone else... so that made it harder to practice spanish... But one of the professors who went to Chile came up and talked to me about what I can expect for next year when I go. I am so excited!!!!! I was gonna call it an early night because I had games in Georgia the next morning... but as I was designated driver I went from party to party... tired, sure... but at least keeping the roads a safer place. Haha.
Saturday morning came way too soon and we left Charleston around 8 am to make it to our first game against Auburn. We ended up winning 2-0. Lately I haven't been doing so well in practice. I guess, since the season started... I just wasn't playing well at all... BUT!!! I think I played well this weekend! We also played Georgia Southern later that day and won 3-0.
Driving back was fun. We stopped for dinner at some local pizzeria someplace remote and then for ice cream. I definitely treated myself. When I got home though I was exhausted! But it was time to reunion with the Trujillo group... so off I went to Amanda's house.
Amy was there, and I hadn't seen her in a while... she is teaching a 101 Conversation class this semester, which I think would be a lot of fun. I think I'm gonna go check one out on Wednesday and see if I can do that next semester. Especially if I want to teach english in a spanish-speaking country... some teaching practice could be nice.
I also applied for a job yesterday at Atlanta Bread Co. So hopefully I'll get a call back about that one.
Just throwing this one out there... but I am probably the gayest person ever. Seriously.
