I had such a great weekend! But I guess I'll talk about the rest of last week first.
I got out of class on Thursday headed straight to my first soccer practice of the semester. We decided to do fundraisers and not have tryouts and whatnot. Should be fun I guess... but I do think we'll add players anyway... We are in desperate need of a keeper though!
After practice I came home and got ready to meet up with the Americanos at La Hacienda. The table was too small but the company was good, and all-in-all I had a pretty good time. After the "reunion" I picked up Sara F. and we headed to Toucan Reef to check out Paul's show. He had said acoustic, and granted his show was acoustic, but not what either of us were expecting. Something along the lines of he's gonna break some babies necks or whatever. Fun. There was a band that went on afterwards... The Firework Show or A Firework Show or something. Eh... it reminded me of the emocore crap that's all too whiny but still kind of decent. I could have lasted the entire show if maybe I had given them more of a chance, but as is I was tired and we headed home.
Friday after class I picked up Megan and we headed to the beach. Glorious! And after the beach Erika and I decided to hang in for the night and rent a movie, grab some coffee, and enjoy some quality time with friends. Low-key, but fun.
By late afternoon I decided that I was going to leave for Cherry Grove on Saturday morning. And leave I did. Early. I had to meet my dad and Abe by 10'00ish for breakfast... which was nice. Yummy. It was nice seeing my dad because I had spent last weekend w/ my mom.
I got to Cherry Grove around 11'30ish and jumped on Jason because sure enough he was still in bed. Eventually Cory, Seth, and I headed down to the beach. I spent a good 3 hours there until it was time to get ready to head over to "Uncle Jeff's" place. And I was a little overwhelmed. So many people! I couldn't keep names straight... I usually can't even remember someone's name after a minute... but I tried really hard. I tried to get names and relationship links down... and did alright I guess. Everyone was so nice and I ended up having a really good time there. It reminded me of my family vacations... and I can't wait til our one next summer! We ended up leaving around 10, I guess... and I was still having a good time, so I guess that means the night was a success! Blast!
But the night wasn't over yet... we got back to their place and Jason, Cory, Susan and I hung out on the beach or on the balcony until around 4 am. I knew I was going to be tired today, but I tried to hang in as long as possible. Unfortunately, I was the first to call it a night.
I ended up leaving around 12 this morning so I could make it back for a meeting for my Western Civ group. We got a lot accomplished, but I wish I had stayed the day instead. I was so glad that Jason invited me to go up there this weekend. I had so much fun! And again, everyone I met was so nice to me. A few of them even got to see me in a towel after my shower! :-/
And my damn internet still doesn't work. I've been trying to get it going for the past 2 hours... and now I've given up and am using Erika's. Ugh!
