Needless Disclaimer To Justify Griping: It's certainly not that I dislike King's stuff. I've got an entire shelf of his books, actually. But if you asked me to define his style I would say "disturbing" and "accessible" and I am trying to write an artsy little feel-good lit fic about a dad watching his son grow up. *double-facepalm*
ETA Of Increasing Desperation: Tried pasting in a different short story that I just sent out to a competition a couple weeks back to try for a different result. Nope. Stephen Frikkin' King still. XD Help...
