Kittens are tempting though, that's entirely understandable! I've got your story firmly in mind though, given that you're a self-admitted cat-person and I... don't always know what I'm doing. *grimaceface* (The third one down here is making his way to the top of my short-list, Mr. Spooky. I love talkative kitties, he's a good age, and hurray for tabbies!)
And 'lo Spooky is ADORABLE - looks just like one of our old cats! The sad part is that I totally went into things wanting an olderish cat (knowing that kittens are higher maintenance and all that) but the little guy that I left with had curled up on me and claimed me as his own because he was sick, unbeknownst to me, poor guy! Ah well. I feel slightly redeemed in that I got him better before he ended up back at the shelter. :/
Aw, you were a foster mommy! (That's actually a lot like what happened with Annie when she was just our foster cat... She was ridiculously laid-back and just let you carry her around everywhere, but it was because she was super ill. And soon as she was better, she decided she didn't like anyone. To this day, me and mom are the only ones who can even pick her up, and that's only for about ten seconds until she does her panic-flail routine, poor gal.)
