A search bar is not a Jungian word-association test, Internet!

So I just went on the self-admittedly quixotic quest of locating LJ icons for The Waltons. (No, shut up, don't judge me, this isn't even the weird part ( Read more... )

Hee! Nah, no worries, I was just hunting around for an icon of John-Boy writing, as his frequent attempting-to-get-published disasters make me giggle in sympathy. (My mom and my sister watch it on some reruns channel every day, and I wind up watching it with them whenever I'm visiting. *g*)

I love the Waltons. I think it's because it's based on this area that I live in and love, so I can relate to the stories. Even if my family was always a little more on the other side of the law, lol.

I'm excited! I'm going to try to get one who's a little bit older so they don't go stir-crazy while I'm at work, methinks.

Yes. Sage thoughts indeed. I think that's where my cat-plan went awry. A teensy bit older will hopefully be a teensy bit calmer.

Kittens are tempting though, that's entirely understandable! I've got your story firmly in mind though, given that you're a self-admitted cat-person and I... don't always know what I'm doing. *grimaceface* (The third one down here is making his way to the top of my short-list, Mr. Spooky. I love talkative kitties, he's a good age, and hurray for tabbies!)

Everyone should get to have a pet! Or twelve! *g* It's been way too long since I've had a furry friend in the house. Damn you, apartment life!

Oh, internet, you're so weird. Also, ew. *s* That's like asking for an orange and getting a pile of sauteed onions.

*salute* Good luck with the writing and the acquiring of cats.

(Also, the Kane icon you used up there made me ♥)

That... is a very apt simile right there. *g*

Eee, thank you on all counts! I miss having animals in the house, but I'll definitely need a critter who won't go stir-crazy with me being at the office all day.

(Oh hai thar, stealth Kane-fan! *delighted*)

Sometimes I do okay. ;D

Yeah. My roommate has a clingy little dog who pines for her whenever she leaves, even if there are other people. She's been gone half an hour, puppy! Why so sad? He is MOPING, M. Moping.

(Eeeheee, I love his voice. :D Also I appreciate the handsomeness.)
