Livejournal scrapbooks will be undergoing changes, like it or not. This post sort of spells it out:
http://lj-pics-beta.livejournal.com/862.html There is some scuttlebutt that paid accounts will only have 2GB of space. If you want more, you have to pay for it. I'm not sure what we're allowed now, but I think it's more than that, even for unpaid users.
Yesterday, I was unable to upload any new photos to my scrapbook because I had the beta version of new scrapbook. I was also told I was out of space and couldn't have more unless I paid for it.
ironicbees gave me the workaround:
http://pics.livejournal.com/manage (click on that after you've logged in).
I filed a support request before I received the workaround which essentially gave me the same link and told me I was mistakenly seeing the beta version. Now my old version is back, but the navigation bar is in Russian.
The Russian part aside, I had no idea there even was a beta version. Once again, the lack of communication between livejournal and its users is simply appalling.
According to the link above, livejournal intends to move to new scrapbook very soon. They will provide "a long English post" about it soon (or so they say). If I can find it I'll make sure you all have the link. I wish, wish, wish, livejournal would consolidate its news into one community. News is spread across at least 10 communities, and I have to think that's to keep information from people.
