I got JR Ward's Lover Mine the other day (Friday?) and finished it just now. Well. Some good stuff in there (Lash's storyline was horrifying-fascinating) but ultimately I found it a bit of a let-down. I've never been a big mega-fan of John Matthew's or Xhex's, so I suppose I'm not surprised this book ranks right up there with the likes of Dark ( Read more... )

I just finished reading Liz Curtis Higgs's Grace in Thine Eyes. Even knowing it's Christian romance, which I normally don't really care for (it's not the use of religion that bothers me, but rather how patronising a lot of authors can get in their writing: "you must never do that, God's wrath is blah blah blah").
