Anyway, he's sitting at a table with a book in front of him, a hefty ~sssscience~ text. One glove is off, for once, so you can see a scarred hand as he's inspecting it.]
It's a strange feeling, preparing to... say goodbye to one's self. Changes typically come so swiftly that many hardly get the chance. To make the decision to become somebody else... it feels almost like a death sentence. I imagine it's what makes redemption so difficult.
[He pulls his glove back on and his tone changes from thoughtful to more pleasant, light, etc.]
Still. At times, one reaches the end of a life and must begin anew. [He smiles.] When I died in the fire and was reborn, I chose the name Doctor. [Chuckling.] How fitting, in retrospect.

I do owe some of you an apology. [Darkly:] And trust me when I say this isn't motivated by any primitive acts of vengeance. [Growling voice:] If anything, our amateur filmmakers delayed this.
First and foremost, I'd like to apologize to Harper, Hayley Stark, Martha Jones, Ms. Parker, Neil Howie, Narvin, Shego, Coyolxauhqui, Trip Tucker and Sherlock Holmes. In some cases, I harmed you excessively, either during the affair or... during any fallout you have to live through. In others, I should have sought out a partnership without... mind control. So.

But I understand my actions had other victims, too, even if I don't [GIVE A DAMN ABOUT] know the extent of the damage I've caused to them. So... I would like to apologize, as well, to everybody else I'd targeted. Molly Carpenter, Mr. Eames, Elric, Tony Foster, Jim Kirk, Toshiko, Angelica Sexby, Blonsky, General Chang, John Doe, Hoffman, Rhade, Slade, [SIGH, YOU CAN TELL HE'S GETTING SICK OF LISTING NAMES. Why so many targets, Rex?] Sveta, Nygma, Spike, and any others.
