Seeking new moderators for our community
Real life has done something of a number on our current moderators, and this community is seeking new mods. I'd like to thank lilithilien for holding the fort in regard to new cases, and apologise to people who have older cases in limbo at the moment. Please bear with us, we're doing our best.
If you responded to the September 2012 post as interested, then yes, please try again. Any brand new people interested are also most welcome. I've borrowed from vic-vega66's September post as to what we need, as good words are good words. Comments here are screened.
Potential new mods:
Are you calm, inquisitive, logical, and thorough? Preferably thick skinned and able to stand abuse by message and comment, as it doesn't happen very often, but it does happen.
Can you work a case a month (ideally opening and closing a case within two weeks)
Can you screencap, and do you have access to an image hosting service if necessary?
Being able to work on your own initiative is also very useful.
Can you deal with works that you might not normally seek out due to rating, pairing or content (sexual situations, language, etc.)
Can you investigate situations, google-fuing like the best of them, and resolve cases?
Do you have some knowledge of the way online-fandom and fans operate?
Can you spare a few days a month, maybe more if the case is complex?
We have a Mod forum where you can seek help and support.
