Oh for the love of everything decent.

For the same reasons as Fox, Garrus made his way back to the Sigrun, memories of the near-disaster on Noveria with Shepard fresh in his mind. Initially, he didn't plan on getting caught on the ship for any longer than necessary-- get in, torch the source plant, and get the hell out. So, naturally, he prepared for things to go horribly, horribly wrong ( ... )

Fox paused mid step when Garrus' voice came in over his headpiece, his ears pivoting a bit as he tried to pick up any other sounds in the area. When he was sure nothing else was around, he ducked behind an over turned metal cart of some sort and crouched down.

"Nice to hear a familiar voice," Fox replied softly, not wanting to give away his position to anything else that could be lying in wait in the area, "I take it you had the same plan I did."

"There's a human saying... something about 'birds of a feather'." Garrus responded, with the slightest hint of mirth in his voice. He watched Fox take cover, but kept his scope focused elsewhere. He knew where his comrade was-- he didn't know where the big bad beasties were going to funnel from next.

"Anyway, I've got you covered from up here. Think you're up to teaming up again?"

"Sounds like a good plan to me. It's not really safe to be wandering around this place solo. Though I guess I don't really have any room to talk, considering this is the second time I've come over here with no back up. Not too bright on my part, I'll admit."

There was a sudden sound from down the hall, probably a metal door of some sort. It was too dark to see from Fox's position. He didn't really want to turn his flashlight on, as it might attract something aggressive (or hungry).

"Sounds like you showed up at a good time."

[He's farting around the Brig right now, WHENEVER NOW IS idk. Fox is startled by the sudden appearance of said sixteen-foot robot and ducks into an open doorway. It takes him a moment to realize that this in fact isn't one of the sentry bots he'd heard about going crazy, but nevertheless, his machine gun is drawn and ready to fire as he peeks back out to observe this here Autobot.

Well, at least it took care of a few monsters for him]

[Considering Fox isn't from Earth, he has no idea who the hell "Marco" could be, but it's become pretty obvious that this badass yellow robot is in fact friendly. As he isn't familiar with said pool game, Fox doesn't reply vocally. Instead, he fires a few rounds into a mutant that was speeding up behind Bumblebee. It's dead as shit.]

Sakura kicked the grate out of the air duct she'd been crawling in, sliding out and landing light on her feet on the ground with barely enough time to stop the grate from clanging to the ground unimpeded. She had no idea how long she'd been stuck in that strange place with the hammers, but there'd been nothing but closed doors and unfriendlies all over the place when she got out.

Navigating back to the ship she'd come in on was proving increasingly difficult. This hall was clear for the moment, neither roaming robots nor aggressive aliens making a guest appearance. Shifting the satchel she was carrying, dressed down in the thermal underclothing that had been under her currently tucked away spacesuit, she asked herself again what the hell was going on.

And why the hell she'd thought it was a good idea to leave her Guide behind when she'd come over as part of the initial outreach to the Sigrun.

For the most part, Fox had been able to avoid too many aliens or robots or whatever. His eyes had mostly adapted to the low light on the Sigrun, but even when he couldn't count on his eyes, he could still hear what was coming better than any human.

He hadn't heard Sakura dropping to the ground around the next corner, though he did hear the very angry, and possibly very hungry creature smashing through a glass window behind him. His machine gun made short work of it, but where there was one, there were probably a lot more. Especially after all that noise he'd just made.

Oops.

Sakura was on her feet, gathering her satchel and tossing it over a shoulder to the sound of a burst of machine gun fire (sad how she can recognize it by now, something so unheard of back home). She does what any logical person would, running toward the source of the sound.

The things on the attack had different ways of operating. This meant someone was out there.

Rounding the corner, Sakura felt a shock of recognition roll through her body. Fox?

"Which direction did you come from?"

They had a little time to get heading toward what might be slightly safer. Funny if it ends up also being the unknown.

Fox whipped around upon hearing Sakura's voice, machine gun at the ready. He was surprised to see her there, and it certainly showed on his face. For about half a second. He lowered his weapon as soon as he recognized her.

He cocked his head towards the hall he'd just come from, "That way. It's not safe. I haven't had any luck finding a secure location yet."

That was pretty apparent, with how banged up he was. He'd run his first aid kit empty a long time ago.
