EXCITING TIMES!
Oh, MAN. I don't even know HOW I would up even looking for them, much less actually finding them after about 10 - 15 years, but I found the soundtracks for a JANKLOAD of my favorite old telenovelas! I'M SO EXCITED!! I've been looking for these for AGES. And it wasn't just one or two songs either! I found the ENTIRE SOUNDTRACKS for about 5 of my favorites. Oh, the nostalgia was amazing and I totally got teary-eyed a bunch of times, especially listening to the songs from Carrusel. I still remember getting home and watching that show at around 6 PM every weekday and discussing it with my cousin and friends at school and it was the best thing ever~!
And, for those who know who Gael García Bernal is (since he got super popular since then), I also found the soundtrack from his very first (and only?) telenovela, El Abuelo y Yo. Of course, we all had a huge crush on him even back then (I think he was 12 at the time...?). ^_^; And he had this weird bang that was always in his face and weirdly way longer than the rest of his hair and I loved that thing, for some reason. Ahahaha! This show was super moving, and I loved the remake (De Pocas, Pocas Pulgas) a whole bunch too.
SO EXCITING~!! I love finding songs I like unexpectedly! And this many at ONCE! YAAAY!
Also, also, I got a new cell phone and can now finally have mp3s and stuff as ringtones! FINALLY, my time has COME! My ringtones for people so far are as follows...

The alarm clock one is to...motivate me? Rhiannon requested hers and I think Hoshi did too, or I just thought she'd like it. Laura, I gave you "Give a Reason" from Slayers cause you said you liked that song, and Christine has the Utena opening because I remembered the time we watched pretty much the whole thing or something at her house and those were some severely fun times. I keep trying to find the Italian Hamtaro opening for Barbara or this Swedish song we both like but I can't find them, so I gave her a neat Shazna song for now. I think I'll change Cassie's to a different one soon... Maybe The Gummi Bears? Everyone else was stuff I either thought fit them or just stuck them with because I wanted to hear the song.
Also, also, also, a hurricane is coming! Or a tropical storm, but they say it'll be a hurricane eventually. I...don't know how to feel. Ok, I do. Listen, if you're going to come this way, make sure you delay the first day of the semester, ok? Work WITH me and not against me! "But Ingrid!" said some person, "don't you know that delaying the first day will only hurt you somehow in the long run?" And to this person I reply in a Bubsish fashion: "Yeah. Shut up, kid!" Ok, I'm sorry. That was rude. What I mean to say is, I don't want school to start yet.
I leave you with a simple question: Why do people tape their windows for hurricanes? Do it actually do anything? This is weird to me. We always board ours up.
