Date: 18 October 2005
Characters: Marietta and Michael
Location: Their respective houses
Status: Private
Summary: Marietta invites Michael to dinner at her house.
Completion: Complete

After her counseling session and dinner with Orla Monday evening, Marietta had spent more than a little time conjecturing on the meaning of Orla's remark. Some things aren't for me to share had rattled around in her head much more than it should have, sometimes pushing out things she ought to have been thinking about or doing. At one point, during a Floo inspection on Wednesday afternoon, she'd even forgot to retrieve her special tape measure and discovered the lady of the house running after her, down the porch steps, to return it. Once she realised that her anxiety on this topic was starting to affect her work performance, she knew she had to do something. The fact that she'd not seen Michael in two weeks and honestly missed him made her next step easy. Not wishing to possibly find him entwined with someone else in front of his fireplace, she sent him an owl instead of Floo-calling.

Michael,

It's been awhile seen we've seen each other. You fed me the last time, so I thought I would return the favour. We don't have to go anywhere, and I'd love to cook dinner for you. Would tonight at 7 o'clock work for you? If not tonight, how about tomorrow?

~Marietta
