Julian made it a habit to keep an eye on the public notices whenever he was out on the streets. You never knew when something interesting might come up, an opportunity in the making for business. Lately, however, he'd been apparating between his destinations more, instead of taking the scenic route. The weather was changing, Persephone was preparing her leave of the Earth. And of course, in the absence of her Divine Warmth, there was a growing chill to the days. He'd always disliked the cold, but war injuries were now compounding that dislike. Joints were growing stiff again, small shoots of pain threading the nerves of his legs. And his hands constantly needed warming. It wasn't debilitating yet, and eased away in the comfortable heat of his workshop. But he couldn't always hover around the Forge, or his or Gilderoy's place. And heating charms only did so much.

To use the vernacular of the youth today... growing older sucked.

Today, however, he needed to wander the streets, checking the wares of several shops. And in the process, he finally noticed the advertisement for the All Hallows Eve fete and masquerade.

"That sounds fun." And profitable, in regards to marketing. He was becoming quite accomplished at metalwork, and needed to advertise his business better. What was better than free advertising? If he made a few quality products to promote The Forge, it would add a footnote to peoples' memory. And ready the stage for his next business venture.

Besides, it'd be a chance to get out of the house and workshop. Gilderoy would likely enjoy putting in an appearance.

With a smirk, Julian made quick note of the pertinent information. It was a bit cloudy today, and his warming charms had little effect on the shift in air pressure. He also had a good wine he needed to hunt down for tonight.

No rest for the enterprising.
