RP: Island getaway

Mandy had set the alarm to wake them at six thirty, an ungodly early hour for a Sunday. Spooned behind her, Zach stirred slightly with a low groan of protest, tightening the arm that had lain relaxed across her waist and tugging her back to him as she reached over for her wand to stop the alarm.
Wand in hand, she silenced the racket, then dropped the wand on the mattress beside her, sighing as she relaxed against Zach, who was sleep-warm and barely conscious as he squeezed her to him. More often than not, now, if he ended up in her bed at night he'd stay there till morning, and it was an amazingly nice way to wake up. She felt his even breath stir the hair at her nape, and smiled, wriggling around to face him before she planted a kiss on his parted lips. He hummed again, sighed and peered at her bleary-eyed, his fair hair in long bedhead tangles, and she was certain he had no idea how sexy-adorable he looked.
"Wake up, sunshine, it's morning," she whispered. "We're going to the island, remember? I'd like to get there early." Her grandparents' home in Northumberland, on a small tidal island, had wards set around it to hide it from Muggles and deter them. She'd got instructions when she visited her family in Canada on how to check and if necessary reinforce the spells, which ought to be done before winter. It had felt terribly lonely to visit the deserted place in the spring. So this time, she was bringing a friend along for company.
