Corner, you great bloody coward, Michael thought, as he took the stairs to Terry's flat. Although he felt reasonably certain his friend would give him a warm welcome, he still felt guilty for the suddenness of his departure, not to mention the unanswered notes from Ben.
Still, staying in a room above the Five Alarm had just felt wrong, so here he was. Pasting on a sheepish smile, he knocked on the door.
