RP: Visiting an Old Friend

Summary: Hannah makes good on her promise to visit Ernie after his accident. Eleanor eventually joins them after work.

Hannah felt horrible that she hadn't been to see Ernie while he was in the hospital, but she'd been busy since she'd gotten Eleanor's letter belatedly. Breca had been playing with the letter, apparently pretending to deliver it to various parts of the house. Hannah had scolded her for it of course, but it didn't change the fact that she needed to see Ernie's recovery with her own two eyes.
Cedric had told her that Ernie had been released from the hospital, so after work she went home and quickly made two casseroles that could be frozen, using magic to help them cook quickly. Consulting her map, she made her way to the cottage he shared with Eleanor. She hoped they wouldn't mind her dropping in for a visit.
As she knocked, she thought about the other letter in her pocket -- the awful one that Ernie's mother had sent her. She knew that she and Ernie would have to discuss it soon, but how soon depended on how well he really was.
