The underbrush rustled behind her but she didn't look back, the wolf was at her side and a glance up as she passed beneath a large tree gave her a flash of hope. Concentrating, she pulled in her thoughts of the black cat tucked against her chest and the grey wolf beside her who'd tried twice to block the rushing darkness, focusing on the branch… on the branch… if she could just get them all high enough… on the…

Ginny jolted awake and she blinked in confusion as her eyesight adjusted to her darkened bedroom, her heart thumping wildly for a moment before a deep breath steadied it. Her hand raked shakily through her hair and it was only then that the dream came back to her. She'd been about to disapparate when she woke and now, with Adrian's hand running soothingly along her arm, she was grateful.

"Gin?" Adrian murmured sleepily against the top of her head as he lay curled around her. She felt his hand tighten as he began rouse into wakefulness and she quickly covered it with her own, giving it a squeeze.

Shifting back against his warm, firm body, Ginny answered softly, contemplating the odd change in her dream, "Right here, Adi. Go back to sleep, love."

He murmured something unintelligible, wrapping his arm around her waist and nuzzling her hair as his body relaxed once more and Ginny only briefly contemplated getting up and going for her run early before the warmth of his body convinced her otherwise. Since her return home, she'd had the realization of how important it was to Adrian to know she was safe and part of that encompassed not simply disappearing at odd times to go for a jog. His thumb was tracing a lazy circle on the gentle curve of her stomach and she smiled to herself as she closed her eyes once more, knowing the choice between leaving his side and remaining was not a very hard one to make.
